Man, it’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these, huh?  I promise that it hasn’t been deliberate neglect on my part, merely the end result of having a far too busy schedule.

At the start of this film they warn us that it is presented in something known as “duo-vision” which for those of us in the know we should just say split screen.  We get to see two sets of events going on at the same time.  I thought this was particularly effective for the horror genre because it allows us to ratchet up the tension because we KNOW the slasher is getting close, because we can see it in the other panel.  It also gives us insights into the psychology of characters at the moment they say something . . . their past traumas and their lies.

The plot:  well, it’s pretty standard and the acting is pretty weak.  Slasher stalks blonds in a hotel.  Now the performance from the man playing the slasher himself was pretty good, but everyone else was  . . . not so much.

I give the film 3 spooky pumpkins out of 5.
