Preparedness Test January 30, 2009

Posted by vorpalkeith in Life The Universe and Everything.

Are you prepared in case of a zombie apocalypse? You should be.

Anyone who knows me knows that I’ve been a strong supporter of having a “zombie plan”. A zombie plan is your plan of action, the steps you plan to take to ensure your safety should there ever be an outbreak of brain-eating undead. I’m not going to tell you mine, because then everyone would do it and I’d lose my guarantee of safety.

But mark my words, you should have a zombie plan.

This is a promising sign . . .

“AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin drivers making their morning commute were in for a surprise when two road signs on a busy stretch of road were taken over by hackers. The signs near the intersection of Lamar and Martin Luther King boulevards usually warn drivers about upcoming construction, but Monday morning they warned of “zombies ahead.””

“Even though this may seem amusing to a lot of people, this is really serious, and it is a crime,” said Austin Public Works spokesperson Sara Hartley. “And you can be indicted for it, and we want to make sure our traffic on the roadways stays safe.”

It IS serious. Deadly serious. There is no more serious matter in this world than zombies and it would be a shame to prosecute these brave young hackers for their invention . . . which one day may save us all.

When the zompocalypse comes . . . wouldn’t you like there to be road signs warning you of present undead? I know I sure would.

Keep your thoughts with these hackers, people, for they are true American heroes.
