“Of all the gin joints, in all the world, why did she have to throw up in mine?”

I have a lot of things to address, so I’ll just roll down the list as best I can . . .

– School has begun again. This is both something to celebrate and lament, and I do both on a daily basis. The people celebrating most feverishly, I’m sure, are the owners of the Chinese restaurant I frequent for lunch as I spend a lot of money in that place.

Found out that my action course is going to have a large section devoted to stage combat. That is just so incredibly cool to me.

I’m really enjoying my animation course, of course. And nobody talks to a horse, of course. Unless that horse just happens to be Mr. Ed . . .

With the amount of drawing I am doing for animation and drawing class (upwards of three or four hours a day at the moment) I expect that my skillz (with a z for those of you playing at home) by the end of the semester will have greatly improved.

– With all the hype I don’t think I could ever watch Mad Men, The Wire, The Sopranos, Entourage, or The Shield. Or Six Feet Under for that matter. Hype kills a show for me like nothing else.

– District 9 was very good. You should go see it. And don’t be surprised when it winds up towards the top of my top ten list for the year.

– I worry about the politics of the country often. I fear that both parties are guilty most of the time of standing behind an idea simply because it’s the opposite of what the other party suggested. Instead of saying what they stand for, they spend all their time talking about the other side. It’s not a very effective method of swaying someone to your political viewpoint.

– It might be a sign that I’m getting old, but my bad knee has been bothering me all week. So much so that I swapped positions at work tonight so that I could be in a spot that I didn’t have to put weight on it, and could just let it rest. I think I need to get one of those robot knees.
